Same Shit Different Day: Wednesday

Some person wrote this on the FB wall some years ago:

Karma’s said to repay in kind the efforts of a wicked mind,
so scheme away, make your plans, fulfill your darker needs’ demands.
But heed these words and be aware: you, my friend, should tread with care
for the blade of harm and disregard cuts both ways when pushed too hard.
You sold your tale of sacrifice and played your role of being nice;
alas, all was not as it first seemed and not as easy as you dreamed.
Your motives, somewhat less than pure, have come to light so now endure:
see hidden scorn in every smile; walk the stones within each mile;
hear whispered words when none are said; and in place of hope, feel only dread.
Oh cunning one, you feel unwell? It’s not your body but mind that’s frail!
You played your cards and rolled the dice, then lost the hand you thought enticed.
Despite your efforts to deceive, the only gains you’ll now receive
are tainted by your own intent, your due reward – your discontent!
Your spiral fall into this pit of self-inflicted pain befits
the bounty of a job well-done, the effort of your foul end run.
Now claw your way back from the brink and reminisce next time you think
no one’s watching over you, weighing everything you do.
‘cause karma really is a bitch with serrated blades to scratch that itch,
that urge to feed your darker side might next time cost you your own hide.

GRANNIS
What about America’s dream Oprah?
January 3rd, 2007

Guess you have no clue about the thousands of little colored girls here in America that have dreams, HOPE’s and prayers of getting out of the poverty circle. They survive every day with hand-me-downs, bread and water and mayo sandwiches and if the money comes right a sugar sandwich. They eat beans 3 times a day untill they run out then rice. Yeah, OPh (what you are called in the hood, means Ole Phoney), they are the thousands of us that survive on $800.00 dollars a month and sometimes even less. I was one of those. My family members and friends and neighbors are still there, HERE, surviving in America. Are we holding our collective breaths waiting for you and you ilk to offer our babies, our little girls a glimmer of some of the HOPE you bestowed on those Africans (who don’t like or respect us unless we giving them something)? Well, guess we’d be dead of suffocation now wouldn’t we.

I realize you will never see this, but I feel better anyway. So for all of us colored gurls who considered suicide because that rainbow was NOT enough-FUCK YOU OPh and your ilk!

I am having such a great day!

I came home today just to sit around. Our cash flow is so clogged we are eating peanut butter on a spoon. No kidding. Payday is Friday and I have to finish packing all this stuff accumulated over 2 years of apartment dwelling. Geez, it is so very hot in here. One silly fan and a broke-ass air conditioner.

That is my daughter over there, her name is Doris. She is the joy of my life, my first-born child. I don't know what I would do without her.

Anyway, I found a site that does nothing but pictures. Just check out what I'm up to now...click.
You should be seeing my G daughter Dominique. She just moved into her own place, works two jobs, in college full time and is just a beauty to look at don't you think?

And that handsome man there is my son-in-law. His name is Aerion. He loves my first-born child very much. He just happens to be sitting on the porch of the house I will be moving into.

There is a sun porch just off where he sits so I'm going to have a lot of fun redecorating and stuff. Finally enough room for plants and books and new things. Lot's of rummage sales, flea markets and the like. I can finally buy a sewing machine and make quilts. Can you tell that I am very happy.

I plan on posting the photos of my move and some of the actual putting away of belongings. This should be a great end of summer project. Did I say it was hot in here?

Later....
